Indiana Reports 607 New Cases, 1 Additional COVID-19 Death Monday

Health officials in Indiana reported 607 new COVID-19 cases and one new death Monday.

The Indiana Department of Health’s latest numbers showed 13,004 total confirmed deaths since the pandemic began and 730,306 positive cases.

The seven-day positivity rate was 5.2% on Monday, and 912 Hoosiers were hospitalized.

The state has also administered 4.5 million vaccine doses, and more than 2.1 million Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.

In Monroe County, health officials reported five new positive cases. They have reported 11,888 cases since the pandemic began. No new deaths were reported.

Monroe County's seven-day positivity rate is 1.4%, and 24 people are hospitalized with the virus in Monroe County-area hospitals.

The county has conducted 544,401 tests for the virus.
