Indiana Reports 23 New COVID-19 Deaths, 387 More Infections

Indiana health officials reported 23 new COVID-19-related deaths and 387 newly confirmed positive cases Saturday.

The latest data from the State Department of Health brought the overall death toll to 13,267 and the total number of positive cases to 746,554.

The state has conducted over 10.5 million tests for the virus including 18,932 reported Saturday. The 7-day all-test positivity rate was 4.1%.

There were 625 people hospitalized for COVID-19 in the state as of Saturday.

In Monroe County, health officials reported seven new positive cases but no new deaths.

They have reported 12,104 cases and 174 deaths since the pandemic began.

County officials have conducted 554,081 tests in total and reported 416 new ones Saturday. The 7-day all-test positivity rate was 2.9%.

There were 20 confirmed COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the county, they said.
