Residents reported damage throughout Monroe County.
Residents reported damage throughout Monroe County.

Monroe County officials are urging residents remaining without power after Saturday’s storm to report outages to their providers.

In a Facebook post Sunday, Monroe County Emergency Management said Duke Energy and REMC were still working to restore power.

“If you have any damage from yesterday's storm, please report it to the Emergency Management Office,” the post said.

Work crews were fixing downed power lines throughout the weekend, after an afternoon thunderstorm swept through southern Indiana.

The Monroe Fire Protection District wrote on Facebook that workers were on the scene at Evans and Harmony roads working on power lines.

There were also reports of lines down in Ellettsville and Smithville as well as a broken poll east of Bloomington in Monroe County.

Residents reported tree damage in central and southeastern Bloomington.
