Two former Lawrence County jail employees are facing charges over separate incidents after an investigation by the Indiana State Police.

Officials from the ISP’s Bloomington office said Michael L. Haag assisted a person with an active warrant for their arrest but failed to notify law enforcement.

State police say Haag is charged with assisting a criminal, which is a level 6 felony. Haag was working as a jail supervisor and with the county probation department.

The other former jail employee, Dustin Allen, faces a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. He was also working as a Lawrence County jail supervisor at the time.

It wasn’t immediately clear over the weekend if either person had an attorney.

State police officials say they cases aren’t connected.
