The second phase of the Paoli Square façade update is on track to be completed by August 1.
Only five projects still need to be completed. In all, 30 projects will be completed with a budget of $440,000.
David Miller, CEO of Hoosier Uplands Economic Development Corporation, says the project has made a "huge impact" on downtown Paoli.
"Everybody's very happy. Very pleased. It's kind of been almost contagious. People see one building fixed up and looking nice, and then other people want to do theirs," he says.
The project was slowed last summer when the agency was told it needed to first be approved by the Department of Natural Resources' Historic Preservation and Archaeology Division.
Miller calls the project successful and says the economic development corporation is planning an additional façade program in French Lick and West Baden.
Those projects are slated to be completed within a year.
