Indiana University freshman Julian Batts received harsh criticism last week for failing to solve three puzzles on Wheel of Fortune.
The first was the puzzle "The Mythological Hero Achilles," when he mispronounced the word "Achilles." Later, he guessed "The World's Fastest Car" when the puzzle should have been "The World's Fastest Man," and he guessed "On-The-Spot Dicespin" instead of "On-The-Spot-Decision."
Batts came on Indiana Newsdesk this week to talk about why he missed the puzzles. Here's what he said:
Anyone following @JulianBatts on Twitter might also think he's keeping a close eye on the people criticizing him online.
But @JulianBatts actually isn't Julian Batts. Batts says it's someone impersonating him, although he doesn't know anything else about who might be behind the account.
Still, the real Julian Batts reiterated one thing @JulianBatts keeps pointing out...he did still win $11,000.
