Approaching Frontal System Sparking Severe Thunderstorms

4:25 P.M. UPDATE

Forecasters at the National Weather Service say central Indiana is making a return to warm, humid conditions this week. An approaching frontal system and upper level disturbances will provide multiple chances for thunderstorms and severe weather through Tuesday.

Threats include lightning, heavy rain, hail and damaging winds. Emergency management in Clay County are reporting numerous downed trees five miles northwest of Brazil as the storms move south east at 40 MPH.

Keep up to date on severe weather watches and warnings issued for the WFIU and WTIU broadcast area here.
