Federal Agents Arrest 42 Illegal Immigrants In Indiana

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have arrested nearly 300 illegal immigrants in six states including Indiana. More than 200 of them have criminal convictions.

"Operation Cross Creek" began May 18 and concluded Saturday. Forty-two arrests were made in Indianapolis, including a 39-year-old Mexican national convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor.

He remains in custody, pending a hearing before an immigration judge. A second Mexican national, a 24-year-old man, was arrested in Bluffton.

He was convicted of performing sexual misconduct in the presence of a minor and is already awaiting deportation.
