Severe Thunderstorms Expected This Afternoon

Forecasters at the National Weather Service say widespread severe thunderstorms will be possible this evening and tonight as a cold front enters a warm, unstable environment across Central Indiana.

Most of the area is under a 'MODERATE RISK' for severe weather today and tonight. The main threats will be tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning and flash flooding from heavy rainfall.

Tomorrow, additional thunderstorms will be possible as an upper low creeps through the area.

Review your severe weather safety procedures for the possibility of dangerous weather today.
