University officials say there will be preliminary talks between Indiana University and Purdue University to change the management of the shared campus at Fort Wayne.
The Fort Wayne campus is currently managed by Purdue. But, a recent report calls for a transfer of campus management to IU.
The report by Policy Analytics was commissioned by Fort Wayne-based business organization Northeast Regional Partnership.
Just over two years ago IPFW considered independence from the Universities but criticized West Lafayette administrators for being a low priority.
The campus opened in 1964 and was funded by IU and Purdue University.
