IU Kelley School Teams Up With NFL Players Association

Indiana University's Kelley School of Business is teaming up with the NFL Players Association to bring business education to current and former football players.

Starting in March after the NFL season ends, players can enroll in a 45-credit MBA program. Classes meet in person and online.

Kelley School Dean Idaline Kesner says the school's faculty, which has experience teaching student athletes, will help NFL players with their careers.

"We're accustomed to the educational role and we deal with student athletes on a regular basis," Kesner says. "But I think the other piece of that is we also deal with executives on a regular basis, so we know what it takes to get to that next level, to go beyond student athlete or professional athlete and go the next level."

Kesner says the Kelley School would be eager to partner with other sports associations for similar programs.

The cost of the program is about $60,000 per student.
