The parents of Abdul-Rahman Kassig, the Indianapolis native being held hostage by the Islamic State, released another statement Thursday asking for their son's release.
Ed and Paula Kassig have reached out to Islamic State fighters repeatedly, asking for mercy for Abdul-Rahman.
The latest statement reads: "We continue to seek Abdul-Rahman's freedom and call for the release of all captives being held unjustly, not only in the Middle East, but around the world."
Abdul-Rahman was taken hostage last year while delivering medical supplies to Syrian refugees.
