TSA Director Selected As Anderson University President

The Board of Trustees at Anderson University has officially selected the head of the TSA to be its next president.

The university announced earlier this month that a search committee would recommend John Pistole for the job following his retirement from the Transportation Security Administration.

Pistole spent four years at TSA longer than any other TSA administrator. He spent 26 years at the FBI before that and says he‘s learned a lot working for government that will help him in his new position.

Pistole grew up about a block from the Anderson campus while his father taught theology here, and he and his wife both earned degrees from Anderson.

Pistole takes over next year when current president James Edwards retires and when Pistole is ratified by the General Assembly of the Church of God which oversees the university.
