7th Seeded Hoosiers Ready For Big Ten Tourney

The Hoosiers (19-12, 9-9) are in Chicago ready to take on the Northwestern Wildcats (15-16, 6-12) in round two of the Big Ten Tournament. Tip-off is at 6:30 tonight at the United Center on ESPN2.

The Hoosiers lost to the Wildcats 72 to 65 two weeks ago in Evanston. Head coach Tom Crean says Northwestern took the game over in the second half and they didn't respond well.

"These guys have done a good job on short turnarounds in the sense of what they pick up in the ballroom and during walk-throughs. But really it's about us having the right edge and the right mindset and the right awareness level more than anything else on the defensive end," Crean said in a press release.

The Hoosiers once considered a lock for the NCAA tournament are now a bubble team losing 6 of their last 9 games. Junior guard Yogi Ferrel says that's not something they are focusing on.

"We know our goals, we see our goals ahead of us, so we do everything in our power - practice hard, watching extra film and getting extra shots up - to attain those goals."

The winner of the game will face 2nd seed Maryland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
