Morning Headline Roundup: July 3, 2015

1. A record number of drivers will be hitting the roads this weekend.

AAA estimates more than a million Hoosiers will travel 50 miles or more from home over Fourth of July weekend. A spokesperson for AAA says lower gas prices are allowing more people to travel.

Drivers should be aware of traffic, construction delays and weather conditions.

2. Fireworks will fill skies across the state today and tomorrow.

3. The lieutenant governor and her team have returned from their trade mission in China.

Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann and the rest of an 18-member Indiana delegation are returning home after a 10-day visit to China. The team wrapped up its four-city agricultural mission with a stop at the Beijing Food Show.
