Morning Headline Roundup: Monday, July 20, 2015

Good morning! Here are a few of the stories on our radar today.

1. Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller kicks off his congressional campaign today.

Zoeller, running for the 9th District congressional seat, and is scheduled to make the announcement today in Jeffersonville.

Republican Todd Young is leaving the seat to run for U.S. Senate next year.

2. Cook Group announced it will bring a biopharmaceutical business to Monroe County.

In a press release Cook says it will invest $28 million to renovate and equip its facility in Bloomington, which is built on the grounds of the former RCA television assembly plant.

The company says the move is expected to create up to 70 new jobs by 2020.

3. Mosquito populations are nearly three times higher than normal in Indianapolis, due to heavy rains.

The Associated Press reports that after record-breaking amounts of rain in June, biologists trapped nearly 6,600 mosquitoes in a Marion County study that would normally trap around 2,300.
