Rally Today Against Repeal Of Common Construction Wage Law

Indiana contractors plan to rally today at the Statehouse to stop a proposed repeal of the 80-year-old Common Construction Wage law.

The Indiana General Assembly plans a vote this week on the bill.  Its changes create new regulations for contractors — including requirements for training workers and a ban on paying them in cash.

The law has become a political hotbed between the state legislature and labor groups.
