Former Indiana University baseball player Kyle Schwarber set a record for postseason home runs during the Chicago Cubs game against the New York Mets Tuesday night.
Schwarber hit a solo home run during the first inning of the game, giving him a total of five postseason homers. The Cubs say that's a franchise record.
Despite Schwarber's early run, the Cubs fell to the Mets 5-2 in the third game of the National League Championship Series. The Cubs have lost the first three games of the seven-game series. They face the Mets again Wednesday night at Wrigley Field.
Schwarber was the Cubs' top draft pick in 2014 and was selected fourth overall. He made his MLB debut this year.
