The Martinsville Police Department says the juvenile responsible for posting a threat to Bell East Middle School on social media has been identified.
According to a police department Facebook post, the threat was made Tuesday on the school's Instagram page. Police say the person threatened to blow the school up on Sept. 11.
Indiana State Police are helping with the investigation. Police say while the validity of the threat is unknown they're taking it seriously.
The Metropolitan School District of Martinsville is sending a letter home with students Wednesday to alert their parents to the threat.
