Morning Headlines: Thursday, September 24, 2015

Good morning! Here are some of the stories we are following today.

1. Republican presidential hopefuls have their sites on Indiana.

Several presidential candidates are visiting  Indiana within the next two months.

Republican hopeful, Carly Fiorina will be in Carmel on November 11 for a fundraiser, while fellow Republican, Jeb Bush will be in Indiana on October 12.

2. Boone County cities took their land feud to the Indiana Supreme Court. 

The state supreme court heard arguments Wednesday from Zionsville and Whitestown attorneys over an undeveloped township between the two Boone County towns.

The Indianapolis Star reports that the disputed area is the Perry Township, which is an area of mostly farmland just west of Whitestown.

3. Indiana is one of the worst states in the country in infant mortality. 

Indiana is the seventh worst state in the country when it comes to infant mortality rates.

Indiana has received an  $11 million grant to help combat the issue, and ensure Hoosier children are growing up in a safe environment.
