The tied mayoral race for the City of Jasper may finally be coming to an end.
During the election, Democrat Wayne Schuetter and Republican incumbent Terry Seitz each got 1,856 votes.
A Daviess County judge will oversee the recount, which must be held by Dec. 20.
If the recount also ends in a tie, the Jasper City Council will decide on the new mayor.
