Alleged Fogle Recordings To Air On Two-Part 'Dr. Phil' Show

A Florida woman who says she recorded former Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle allegedly discussing having sex with minors will appear on the "Dr. Phil" show for a two-part interview discussing the recordings.

Fragments of those recordings will be played on the show Thursday and Friday.

According to the show's website, Rochelle Herman-Walrond secretly recorded Fogle "for years" for the FBI.

As the Chicago Tribune reports, federal prosecutors have copies of those audio recordings:

U.S. Attorney's office spokesman Tim Horty said Wednesday that federal authorities obtained copies of the recordings Rochelle Herman-Walrond said she made of her telephone conversations with Fogle.

Horty said he cannot comment on when or how federal authorities obtained the recordings, or whether they capture Fogle speaking to Herman-Walrond. But he said federal prosecutors did consider the recordings before charging Fogle, who has agreed to plead guilty to child pornography and sex-crime charges.

"They were not part of our initial investigation — and it wasn't part of the infancy of any of it. We are aware of what they had to say and we took the recordings into account, but that's as much as I can say about it," Horty said.

Fogle, 37, will appear in court on Nov. 19 for his sentencing hearing. He pleaded guilty to two charges related to child pornography in August and is facing a minimum of five years in prison and the possibility of lifetime supervised release.

As of last week, 10 of Fogle's 14 victims had already received restitution checks totaling $1 million.
