The group suing the city of Terre Haute over a sludge-drying deal is adding more people to the lawsuit.
Highland TH and Overseas Lease Group included Terre Haute Dewatering Company and Plocher Construction to the lawsuit claiming Terre Haute agreed to pay 240 monthly payments of more than $700,000 for sludge-drying purposes.
Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett says nothing has changed from their end of things, but the city refiled this week to dismiss the claims again.
"Really in my opinion, those should have been direct lawsuits with them if they felt like they had a claim, not throwing it on top of this. So we had to respond to all that," Bennett says.
He says the contract needed to go to city council to be valid but the lawsuit claims the city is still breaching the contract and is looking to recoup those promised payments.
A decision isn't expected until January.
