Bloomington's east-side Kmart near College Mall is on the list of 68 Kmart and ten Sears stores to close this summer.
A company statement says the closings come from performance evaluations and timing of leases.
Bloomington's East Third Street Kmart will close in July. The only other Indiana Kmart closing is in New Albany.
Chief Executive Officer of Sears Holdings Edward S. Lampert said those who are eligible will receive severance packages or be offered positions at other Sears or Kmart stores.
"We are committed to treating these associates with respect and compassion during this process," Lampert said in a statement.
Just last month Sears announced it would close the College Mall location in June to make way for a Whole Foods grocery store.
