Good morning! Here are the stories our team is working on post-election day:
Election results from yesterday's primary are still crawling in, but all of the major races have been called, bringing several surprises. Ted Cruz lost Indiana to Donald Trump and announced his decision to drop out of the presidential race. Bernie Sanders won 52 percent of the vote, beating out Hillary Clinton in a surprise win. Todd Young defeated Marlin Stutzman in the GOP primary for the open U.S. Senate seat. Trey Hollingsworth, a controversial candidate for U.S. House in the 9th District, beat out Greg Zoeller and three other candidates. Check all results on our interactive elections website.
The increasing threat of the zika virus has impacted blood donations in Indiana. As Fox 59 reports, the Indiana Blood Center has been force to turn away anyone who's traveled to a Zika-infected area in the last month. Follow Barbara Brosher on Twitter at @BabsofBtown for details.
