This week the Community Crossings matching grant program announced how much each community will receive for road funding. The program was included in the road funding legislation passed this year.
The Indiana Department of Transportation accepted proposals from Hoosier cities, towns and counties for local road and bridge preservation and construction. INDOT will match local funding for the proposed project up to $1 million.
In 2016, INDOT granted proposals from more than 230 cities and towns and 78 of 92 counties.
