Pence Involved In Indiana Matters; Some Wonder For How Long

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has been out of state for most of the three weeks since he was tapped as Donald Trump's Republican vice presidential running mate.

The governor's office says Pence is staying on top of state government matters and is available when needed.

The governor's travel pattern has been to spend part of Fridays on state-related activities, while other weekdays have been filled with political events across the country.

Pence spokeswoman Kara Brooks says the governor is electronically engaged with his staff.

That doesn't satisfy Indiana House Democratic leader Scott Pelath, who says it is evident the state is will be without an active governor for months.
