Vice-President Elect Mike Pence is inspiring the Indiana Republican Party to show up in force with a delegation of more than 200 to this Friday's inauguration.
Chairman of the Indiana Republican Party Jeff Cardwell says the group isn't just made up of politicians.
"It's people from all walks of life," he says. "We have people coming from every sector and every different profession that's a part of this. This is people that just really sought out the opportunity to participate and be a part of it."
Cardwell says the enthusiasm and energy in the capital is stronger this year than he has ever seen before.
Hoosiers will also be seen in the inauguration parade; the Indianapolis metropolitan police motorcycle drill team will march, representing Indiana law enforcement, and the high school band from Pence's hometown of Columbus marching as well.
Indiana State University is sending two buses with about 100 students to attend the inauguration. The Indiana National Guard will help local police with crowd control and other security efforts.
