Indiana's unemployment rate dropped for the second consecutive month, falling to four-point-eight percent in June.
With its two-tenths of a percent decrease last month, Indiana's unemployment rate is now at its lowest level since February. And it fell two months in a row for the first time in nearly a year.
The state's private sector added about 85 hundred jobs in June, the third consecutive month of increases.
That surge was led in part by the construction industry, which added 2,600 jobs last month. Yet the manufacturing sector shed about 13,000 jobs.
