This Week: Trump Campaign, Pence Deadline To Withdraw

Speculation about who Donald Trump will choose as his running mate continues as he heads to Indiana this week for a fundraiser and public rally. Several dates this week mark important events or deadlines for potential running mate Gov. Mike Pence.

Tuesday, July 12: Pence Hosts Private Trump Fundraiser

The Associated Press reports that Gov. Pence will host the private fundraiser Trump is holding in Indiana Tuesday afternoon. Tickets range from $2,700 per person to $250,000 per couple.

Pence has consistently sidestepped the rumors of his candidacy as Trump's VP pick.

Tuesday, July 12: Trump Holds Public Rally, Pence Will Attend

The rally will be held at the Grand Park Events Center in Westfield, Indiana. Pence says he hasn't been asked to speak at the rally, but he will be in attendance.

"I think the opportunity for Hoosiers to hear from him directly is exciting and I look forward to joining him there and if he wants me to brings a few words, I'd be happy to," Pence says.

The governor says he hasn't spoken to Trump since Pence and his wife visited the Republican candidate earlier this month.

Friday, July 15: Deadline for Pence to Withdraw from Gubernatorial Race

Pence has until noon on Friday to officially withdraw from the ballot in the Indiana governor's race. If he does, the Indiana Republican Party would select a new candidate to replace Trump, who would run against Democratic candidate John Gregg.

Monday, July 18: Republican National Convention Begins

Trump has said he will choose a running mate within the next few days, before the convention begins in Cleveland, Ohio.
