Greene County General Hospital is undergoing repairs Thursday after heavy thunderstorms this week caused flooding.
The hospital's conference room and some administrative offices were damaged after the storms caused a pipe to burst on Wednesday.
Hospital Director of Public Affairs Amy Lore says while some administrative units are being relocated, the rest of the hospital remains operational and patient services have not been interrupted.
"There's been no interruption whatsoever of our services, so outpatient lab, radiology, all of those things are completely operational and we are continuing to provide the same outstanding patient care we always have," Lore says.
Lore says there is no current timeline for when the repairs will be completed, but the damaged areas have been sectioned off with plastic to protect patients from dust and debris.
The National Weather Service has posted flood warnings and flash flood warnings for most of Indiana through Friday of this week. Several schools dismissed early Thursday, and one school in Vigo County canceled Friday classes because of flooding concerns.
Brown County State Park was also forced to close some of its bike trails due to storm damage.
