Victims Identified In Sunday's Triple Homicide

Preliminary autopsies were performed in Washington County and showed that gunshot wounds caused the deaths of Danny G. Newlin, Kelley Kay Newlin, and Austin Newlin. All three lived at 5582 Beck's Mill Road in Salem where their bodies were found.

The autopsies will not be official until toxicology results are completed.

State police say the Washington County sheriff's department found the victims' bodies during a welfare check Sunday afternoon after receiving a phone call from a concerned person. A deputy saw a person dead inside the rural Washington County home and a search led police to find the two other bodies.

Police were looking for 47-year-old Richard Lee Burton, Jr. who was living at the same home as the victims. Authorities believe he was responsible for the triple murder. Police say a tip led them to Burton's parked vehicle at Blackwell Horse Camp in Monroe County, where they found a deceased man believed to be Burton.

According to a press release that autopsy is being performed in Terre Haute.
