It wasn't easy for No. 1 Duke to beat the IU Hoosiers last night. The Blue Devils used a late scoring run to fend off the Hoosiers.
It was tied late in the game when Duke outscored the Hoosiers with a 17-4 spurt to finally pull away for the team's first true road win of the season. The final score was 91-81. That ends Indiana's 3-game winning streak.
Indiana Head Coach Archie Miller says the Hoosiers weren't able to do the simple things to finish out the game.
"Free-throw line is disappointing. As a team, you have to be better than that to win games like that. And also I think shooting the ball from the perimeter, although it was not our night, we need to make a couple of those open ones and at the end of the day find a way to win that game," Miller says.
IU was 16 for 26 at the free throw line.
Senior Guard Robert Johnson led the Hoosiers with 17 points followed by Sophomore Forward De'Ron Davis with 16.
The atmosphere at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall didn't disappoint.

The Hoosiers begin Big Ten play at Michigan Saturday, then host Iowa Monday night.
