Indiana Woman Pleads Guilty To Partaking In Capitol Insurrection

Dona Bissey is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority. 

Hundred’s people supporting former President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6 th, 2021 in an effort to stop Congress from certifying then President-Elect Joe Biden’s win over Trump in the 2020 election.

On February 24 th, Bissey was arrested and agreed to a plea deal offered by the government.

A sentencing hearing is set for July 19 th, at 10:00 a.m.

Last month, another Hoosier, Anna Morgan-Lloyd of Greene County was sentenced to probation and fined $500 for her role in the insurrection.
