The City of Bloomington is inviting residents to a community paint day at the Duke Energy substation at W. 11 th St and N. Rogers St. on September 28.

Up to 150 volunteers will help paint the first mural in a series planned for the substation walls. No experience is necessary. Local artists will be available to guide volunteers. You must register in advance to participate.

The mural design is a collaboration between three different artists that emphasizes community togetherness.  It is the first of five to be installed.

The project is a collaboration between the City of Bloomington and Duke Energy. Duke Energy gave the city a $25,000 grant to support the project.
