FRIDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE:
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Indianapolis said around 1 inch of snow has fallen over portions of central Indiana, including Indianapolis. An additional 1-3 inches is expected through the evening.
Monroe, Lawrence, Brown and other counties are under a travel watch, meaning essential travel only as many roads are snow covered. Road conditions are expected to worsen over the next several hours.
The winter weather advisory expires at 1 a.m.
Forecasters said a quick moving system will bring a mixture of light snow showers and freezing drizzle Sunday afternoon and evening. Subzero wind chills are expected during the overnight hours Monday night through Wednesday night.

Another 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected to fall over much of the state Friday beginning mid-morning.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Indianapolis say higher amounts of snow will fall south and east of Indianapolis.
The heaviest snow is expected Friday afternoon into the evening.
A winter weather advisory takes effect from 4 a.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Saturday for south central Indiana.
Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous.
INDOT Southeast will operate under a full call out, with more than 150 trucks prepared to treat state highways, interstates and U.S. routes starting early Friday morning. Officials said it takes an average of two-to-three hours for crews to complete a full snow route.
A winter storm warning goes into effect at 1 a.m. Friday until 1 a.m. Saturday for far southern Indiana where snow accumulations could total 4 to 7 inches.
Colder air returns early next week with lows near zero. Wind chills could drop to minus-10 at times.
