A head-on collision killed two drivers on State Road 46 around 5 p.m. Friday.
Officers pronounced one of the drivers, a man from Spencer, dead at the scene, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported in an emailed statement.
The other driver, Cindy Bentley, 62, of Gosport, was seriously injured and transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where she died.
The statement said several agencies were assisting in the investigation.
