Amanda Barge says she does not intend to resign her position as vice president of the Monroe County Commissioners amid sexual harassment allegations.

Barge denies the claims. But, in a statement Tuesday, she announced that she was suspending her campaign for Bloomington mayor after the Indiana Daily Student published an article detailing allegations that Barge sexually harassed contractor Brandon Drake.

Drake told the IDS Barge harrassed him for months and played a role in ending a project he worked on for Monroe County.

Barge was not present at Wednesday’s county commissioners’ meeting, and the board did not address the controversy.
