Music is in the air in Nashville, but some residents aren’t too happy about it.
The Nashville Town Council will discuss complaints about loud music coming from Hard Truth Hills during its next meeting.
The compound, which features a distillery and restaurant, sits on 325 acres of forested, hilly land and hosts live music from 7 to 10 p.m. on weekends. Some residents say it’s too loud.
But Leslie Earlywine lives directly behind the Hard Truth Hills music stage and says most of the time, she actually wishes the music was louder.
“Oh my gosh I can’t – I can barely recognize [the music],” Earlywine says. “Maybe one song out of five. To even know what the song is.”
Clay Kinnick, Hard Truth Hills' marketing manager, says they are always careful to keep the volume at a reasonable level. He also added they have tried to resolve the issue.
“I’ve gone to two previous town council meetings for the same purpose and it was never addressed,” Kinnick says. “So, people call and never take action. And I want to be there so that I can talk with them and try and understand what the complaints are and see if there is anything that we can do to be good neighbors.”
The next Nashville Town Council meeting is Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m.
