Martinsville S.R. 37 Walmart Access To Close Saturday

Indiana transportation officials are removing a traffic signal and changing access to the Martinsville Walmart Supercenter retail area early Saturday morning.

The Grand Valley Boulevard overpass construction will route northbound S.R. 37 motorists to access the commercial area using S.R. 252 to Cramertown Loop. Southbound motorists will use Mahalasville Road to Artesian Avenue.

The new overpass from South Street to Grand Valley Boulevard is expected to open spring of next year. 

Officials say the traffic signal at that S.R. 37 intersection will be removed improving traffic flow. One lane of traffic will still be open in each direction as construction continues in that area.

I-69 Section 6 links Martinsville to Indianapolis. The route will run along existing State Road 37.
