More than 954,000 people attended the Indiana State Fair this year, which ended Sunday. That makes it the third most attended fair ever.
The attendance was down about 20,000 from last year, which was the highest attended fair.
Indiana State Fair spokesman Andy Klotz says last year's weather was unusually good, boosting attendance.
"We had great temperatures this year, but we also had several days of forecasted rain or spotty showers," Klotz says.
Musician Robin Thicke also canceled his performance at the State Fair, but Klotz says that did not have a major impact on attendance.
The brand new Beer and Wine Festival, however, was a big attraction this year. It brought in more than 48,000 people.
This was the first time in nearly 70 years that alcohol was sold at the state fair, after it was banned in 1947.
