Morning Headline Roundup: Tuesday, July 14, 2015

Good morning! Here are some of the stories we're following this morning.

1. A series of storms that passed through Monday has left thousands without power.

Roughly 14,500 Duke Energy customers are currently without power, and at last check, about 29,000 IPL customers do not have power. Monday's storms produced high winds and dumped heavy rains on southern and central parts of the state.

2. That series of strong storms also produced at least one tornado.

The tornado was apparently caught on camera in Oxford, near Lafayette. It touched down around 9 p.m.

3. Indiana Sen. Dan Coats says he's still skeptical of the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Coats says the deal will not permanently stop Iran's nuclear ambitions, but he still plans to review it.

In a statement, the senator said Iran had a "proven record" of violence, adding that "all of Iran's commitments must be evaluated in that light."
