Signs read ‘no patriarchy' and ‘IUPD out of the dorms' at a rally last night where Indiana University students and Bloomington residents gathered at the Sample Gates to protest what they consider "rape culture" at the University.
Protesters gave speeches about their experiences with sexual assault in Bloomington, with supporters cheering as they marched down Kirkwood.
The rally comes days after a reported rape downtown and reported sexual assaults in the dorm rooms of McNutt Quad.
University spokesman Mark Land says IU is still investigating the off-campus incident and takes all of the reports extremely seriously.
