Snow fell across much of the state on Saturday, setting a record level in Indianapolis.
According to the National Weather Service, a total of 1.3 inches of snowfall was recorded Sunday in Indianapolis, breaking the previous record of 0.8 inches set in 1996.

Forecasters are calling for a mix of rain and snow Saturday. Most of the expected snowfall will occur in the northern part of the state near Lafayette and Kokomo where accumulations could reach an inch.
The chance for precipitation starts after midnight in the northwest portion of the state.
Then Saturday rain will fall followed by a dusting of snow for central Indiana.
Much cooler temperatures are expected too. Saturday highs are forecasted to reach 43 degrees. Sunday daytime temperatures are only expected to hit 33 degrees.
