State Police Investigating Possible Voter Registration Fraud

Indiana State Police say they're investigating fraudulent voter registration forms filed in two counties.

Indiana State Police spokesman Dave Bursten said Thursday that at least 10 voter registration forms are confirmed to have fraudulent information.

The forms were among more than 28,000 that the Indiana Voter Registration Project submitted to registration offices in Marion and Hendricks counties. The counties include Indianapolis and its suburbs.

The Indianapolis Star reports that a man at the group's office said Thursday he wasn't aware of fraud concerns. He wouldn't answer questions about the group's affiliation or operations.

State Police say investigators are working to determine if other forms are also fraudulent.

Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson urged voters to check their registrations because there is evidence the group changed a voter's address.
