Carl Bernstein returns to IU as Poynter Chair

Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Carl Bernstein will be Indiana University's 2024-25 Poynter Chair

Bernstein, best known for his work covering the Watergate scandal, will have four visits to IU Bloomington.  

His first event will be a panel discussion at the Media School, “Journalism in a Polarized Election Landscape,” at 6 p.m. Oct. 8 in Presidents Hall. 

He will return in November for a discussion about the upcoming election and its implications for journalists, according to a university media release.  

Bernstein spoke on June 6 with IU Bloomington’s Media School Dean David Tolchinsky during the Granfalloon Festival.
