Martinsville sock manufacturer For Bare Feet Originals is being taken over by a private investment firm.

FBF Originals founder Sharon Rivenbark retired last year, and the company was sold to Taglich Private Equity.

Rivenbark’s daughter Kelly Baugh will serve as the new CEO at the company. Baugh says the acquisition gives the company an opportunity for expansion.

"We have no intention of leaving, we actually intent to facilitate and build more into the company and into the community," she says.

Baugh says no jobs at FBF headquarters will be cut.

The company will continue working with clients like the NFL, NASCAR and hundreds of universities, while expanding to include Mossy Oak and Hershey’s.

And they’re adding as a new product line called "Bug Off."

"It actually repels bugs, so mosquitos, insects, any kind of insect whatsoever it will completely repel them if not kill them," Baugh says.

FBF Originals will open a new factory store and start offering factory tours at the beginning of May.
