Their family was full of academics and avid readers. Gear up for back to school by celebrating reading and craft this month and making your own embroidered bookmarks!

A family-friendly Open House at The Bloomington Yacht Club on Lake Lemon will introduce the secrets of sailing. This FREE event offers sailing demonstrations, boat rides, tours of the BYC facilities, hands-on rigging & knot tying, all-ages activities, snacks,, beverages, and more.

A health and wellness book club hosted by Bridgett DiVohl and Cynthia Schultz that explores how we can improve our health and that of the Bloomington community at the same time, presented by the BloomingZone Initiative.

The new book to be discussed in 2025 is The Longevity Solution: Rediscovering Centuries-Old Secrets to a Healthy, Long Life by Dr. James Dinicolantonio.

Get ready to roll! Join Lizzy on Tuesday, August 19th at 4pm for Starch Your Engines! This fast-paced program is all about movement, speed, and velocity. After a quick demo, kiddos will create and decorate their own potato car and then race them to see which one is the fastest! Registration required. Ages 6-12.

Bloomington Chamber Singers invites new singers to audition for our 2025-26 season! We have openings in all sections—soprano, alto, tenor, bass.

The Bloomington Chamber Singers is a 40-voice choir performing since 1970. Starting this fall, we are under the leadership of a new Artistic Director, Caio Lopes, with a great season of music ahead: Brazilian music, Handel’s Messiah, Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Cancionero Gitano, Duruflé’s Requiem, and Beethoven’s 9 Symphony.
