ractice the art of drawing from observation in this hands-on still life drawing class! Each class will feature a new arrangement of objects for students to observe and interpret through drawing. You’ll explore composition, proportion, light, value, and different drawing techniques while building confidence in your observational skills.
This class is open to adults, as well as students in Grades 10–12, and iswelcoming to artists of varying experience levels. The class will primarily usevine charcoal, with pencils also available for those who prefer working in graphite. Students with previous still life drawing experience are welcome to bring their own preferred drawing materials.

Monroe County Humane Association's 31st Annual Run for the Animals, presented by The Dog House is a timed 5K run/walk at Karst Farm Park taking place on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Each registration includes an official Run for the Animals t-shirt and sponsor swag.
The 5K course starts at Karst Farm Park and loops through the Monroe County Fairgrounds. The awards ceremony and sponsor booths are now located near the start/finish line, making it easier for participants and families to celebrate together—and for faster results posting! After the awards, stick around for the raffles and fan-favorite pet contests! You don't have to be registered in the 5K to participate in the raffle and pet contests!
