On Friday, December 5th the Hamilton Lugar School’s 21st Century Japan Politics & Society Initiative* (21JPSI) will convene leading experts from Japan and the United States for a series of discussions on Japan’s role in the world, both within and beyond the U.S.-Japan alliance context. It will feature two panels and a keynote address by Ambassador David Shear, former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asia-Pacific Security Affairs, Ambassador to Vietnam, and a career foreign service officer with multiple tours in Japan and elsewhere in East Asia.

This program is an opportunity to talk with our animal exhibits staff directly to learn about WonderLab’s animal ambassadors and what it takes to care for animals from around the world. During this program you can have the opportunity to meet snakes, lizards, insects, arachnids and more up close and out of their habitats.

All items are handmade by our Y Service in Friendship group, which is comprised of volunteers who lovingly knit, crochet, and quilt each piece throughout the year to donate to the Holiday Bazaar. All proceeds benefit the Y for All Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to those who need support with a Y membership or program.
